Bubbakoo's Burritos Partners with Eastern Surfing Association

Wall, NJ – April 11, 2022 – Bubbakoo’s Burritos, a surf and skate Mexican-inspired restaurant, has partnered with the Eastern Surfing Association as s 2022 National Sponsor.

The popular Mexican-fusion chain was founded in 2008 by industry veterans Paul Altero and Bill Hart in Point Pleasant, NJ as a place to relax after a session in the water or at the skatepark.  Both Hart and Altero had worked together previously and decided to combine their ideas to build a united dream. Their shared vision focused on the complete customization of entrees with fresh ingredients and a strong concentration on customer service. Bubbakoo’s Burritos has innovated a menu where customers can pick and choose what they want and create something different every time they visit.

The ESA is the largest amateur surfing organization in the nation with over 10,000 members involved in local districts Maine through Florida, including the Great Lakes and the Gulf Coast of Florida.  It was founded in 1967 to provide East Coast surfers a means for competition.  Kelly Slater, Lisa Anderson and CJ Hobgood are just a few of the surfing World Champions who started in the ESA.

“Partnering with the ESA was a no-brainer for us.  Our restaurant was founded on our love for all things surfing and skating. We are excited to bring our food and vibe to the surfers competing in ESA” says co-founder Bill Hart.

"The ESA is thrilled to have Bubbakoo's Burritos supporting its 2022 season," said Michelle Sommers, ESA executive director.  "They are a part of the surfing community throughout the East Coast and we want to help introduce more people to what they offer."

Aside from their innovative menu, Bubbakoo’s prides itself on their involvement in the community. In November of 2019, they launched their Read it to Eat it Program where they work with schools and teachers to help incentivize reading for students. The program now has over 500 schools/teachers involved and over 120,000 students. Many Bubbakoo’s locations also host fundraisers to help local organizations raise money. In addition to their reading program, this March, Bubbakoo’s launched their first national fundraiser which donated a percentage of their sales on March 29th to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Since their flagship location in Point Pleasant, the Bubbakoo’s brand has expanded significantly throughout the country. Currently, there are 70 locations across 10 states with over 100 more locations in the pipeline. The Bubbakoo’s team plans to open several more stores in the first half of 2022.
